MONOLOGUE FOR MILLA'S SWORD QUEST. It's something like this. Pretend there are a few more embellishments and also actual names for the countries and the people; I might edit those in later if I think of good ones...
Once there were two people whose fates crossed. The first was a military leader from country A. She traveled the world personally in order to have a better idea of the lay of the land. In the process, she ran into a man who was an advisor to the king of country B, who was traveling for similar reasons. Because they both found each other very sexually attractive, they immediately formed a bond. However, after the morning came they discovered their relative positions and tasks. Since their countries were on the brink of war, they agreed to separate and never speak of it again.

Unfortunately, they were in love. They both felt sad at the parting. Still, they continued with their work, since they were both very loyal to their countries.

So, when the day came that country A declared war, the woman steadied her resolve and planned her country's strategy without considering the man she'd met that day. However, a few weeks into the war, she received a message from a masked courier. It asked her to come meet at a neutral ground. There was no indication of the sender, but she knew it could only be one person. In defiance of her better judgment, she went to meet him.

They met, on a remote hill, for only the second time ever. When she saw him drop her hood, she knew what was happening by the look on his face. It gave her time to take cover from the arrows. He had betrayed her, and set up an ambush in an attempt to eliminate a key player for his country's rival.

However, she had considered this possibility before she came, while he had ill-advisedly brought a force that was not equipped for real combat. She single-handedly took all of them down, and killed her lover with a single stab to his neck before he could speak.

She returned victorious to her own country, and the war was resolved fairly quickly after that. True to her word, she never spoke of him again.
